The Process
When you work with me, you’ll benefit from my commitment to professionalism, open communication, and reliable delivery.
Discovery Call
On our discovery call, we will review your project’s scope and determine what goals we need to fulfill. We will break down the needs of your ultimate end-game.
Proposal
After our initial call, I’ll typically have everything I need to create an accurate proposal outlining the project scope, timeline, and costs. Most projects are done on a fixed-fee basis so that you won’t be surprised by a charge at the end. If additional work is needed outside the proposal’s scope, a new proposal will be drawn up.
Project Kick-off
Before we begin, I’ll send you a questionnaire to learn more about your company, including your objective, competitors, and target audience. I will then schedule a Zoom meeting to discuss the questionnaire, gather additional content, and provide a game plan for the upcoming weeks.
Sitemap and wireframe creation
With the scope determined, we can begin diving into the sitemap, specifying how the content and features provided in the scope specification will interact with one another. This allows us to see how things will look, from wireframes to color schemes, fonts, and type to information architecture.
Development
Now, it is time to dive in! I will begin building out all of the website’s pages and functions. This phase in the web design process covers building out the site’s pages and designing all the pages, headers, footers, styles, and typography. Towards the end of this phase, I’ll provide a demo link so that you can preview the live site in your browser and mobile device.
Go Live
Let’s GO LIVE! After thoroughly reviewing and testing everything, we can create a launch strategy.
Ongoing Relationship
I do not want to build a site and send you on your way. I will be accessible for any future assistance once we go live. Each website I create has a limited warranty covering post-launch issues or minor changes. I also provide website maintenance services if you want my continued support in keeping your website secure and up to date, and retainer packages are also available if you want significant ongoing work.
